We just can't wait to share the exciting news that as of the 1st April we'll be opening our doors to the public for the first time! We're moving into new premises in Leeds that will allow us to hold regular "Make & Take" workshops on a regular basis on our home turf!

Plus you'll be able to buy our Kraftystuff straight off the shelves!

You'll be able to get your hands on and play with new products before anyone else and get exclusive cardmaking and crafting kits that won't be available for sale on our website or at shows! We spoil you guys!

We'll also be inviting some of our crafting celebrity mates down for the odd session just to give you a rest from us!

So here it is at last, the winning line up of the new Kraftyhands Design Team. Due to the brilliant response we had from you ladies for places on our new team, we decided to increase the number of places from 4 to 8 and it was really hard to stick to 8!

The quality of card making shown in the photo samples sent it was very, very high and we had a real difficult job choosing just 8! and after agonising for longer than we should we finally made the hard decision, so...

Design Team Update

Just so that we don't get hundreds of individual requests to find when the DT results will be announced, I can let you all know all the following:

We had a much greater response than we ever thought we would with over one hundred people applying for a place on the design team. As the application process was only closed on the 31st of Jan, it's going to take us a little while to go through each one and give everyone an equal chance to impress. So please be patient and we'll hopefully make the announcement at the start of next week which will give us this weekend to look and read through everyone's submission in turn.

Ross Papercraft Show - Leeds Grammar School

The Ross Papercraft Show at the Leeds Grammar School yesterday was a hoot! Although a quietish start for a first show it certainly has the potential to rival the show at Harrogate, which really gives a boost to crafters in the Leeds area that are pretty much starved of anything outside of the normal retail products that can be bought at Hobbycraft and the Range. Here's to Terry Ross for bringing variety to the Leeds area.

Kraftyhands Design Team

Become a Design Team Member

We are inviting 4 customers to become members of a new design team. To be a design team member, you must be creative, think outside the box and have a passion for card making.

As a design team member you will receive one copy of all our new CDs before the launch date, plus any new products that we'd like you to incorporate such as charms and embellishments, plus entrance to Hobbycrafts at the NEC (twice a year) absolutely FREE!

In return all we ask is that you create and send us at least 3 good quality card samples from each CD we supply within a given deadline.

That's it!

To apply for a place on the design team, simply send us an email to info@kraftyhands.co.uk with your name, a short biography, ie how long you've been crafting, interests etc with a photograph of yourself and of at least 4 photos of cards that you have created. They don't have to include Kraftyhands products, we just want to see what you can do. So pick your best projects!

Successful applicants will have a short bio placed on a new Design Team page on our website (hence the need for a piccy) and a badge to add to any personal web page, facebook or blog you may have.

Closing date for applications is January 31st.

Christmas Competition

Now that Christmas is almost upon us, we thought we'd open up our first competition, and ask you to submit your favourite Christmas card creations.

The competition is open until the 15th January and the winner will receive a 50% discount voucher to spend on our website!

To enter all you have to do is email us a photograph of your favourite Christmas card with your name and location i.e city/town. The only entry condition, is that you must have used a Kraftyhands or Kraft Factory product in the creation of your card. That's it!

All entries will be posted on this blog and the winner announced on 16th January 2012!
